Community Agents is a free to access home visiting service, helping people to live independently in their own home. We can help anybody over the age of 18 that is in particular need of a home visit in order to source the support needed. Community Agents are part of the Essex Wellbeing Service.

Mental health problems are common and we can help with support and advice for emotional wellbeing, sometimes referred to as low-level mental health. Whilst we don't provide specific mental health support, there are many areas of your lifestyle that contribute towards poor mental health, such as emotional wellbeing which we do provide support for. This also includes social isolation and weight management.
The Community Hub offers a range of services for people affected by crisis situations, as well as information on community and physical activities and access to volunteering. Rainbow Services are continuing to deliver this service in partnership with Harlow Council, Harlow Foodbank, Citizens Advice Harlow and West Essex Health and Care Partnership.

Offering opportunities to work alongside professionals and Essex County Council sharing your experiences, to meet peers, and develop the skills of self advocacy.

Our Early Help and Wellbeing team can help people who have difficulties with their wellbeing and LOW-LEVEL mental health difficulties like: anxiety, low mood and depression. The team will support people in Essex, with or without a diagnosis. They focus on the goals someone wants to achieve to improve their wellbeing, including their social situation. Essex Home Help Service is a registered charity which offers support within the home to the elderly, vulnerable, and carers of loved ones. Services include housework, shopping, prescription collections, companionship and sitting service. The cost of this service is £22.50 per hour for housework and shopping (plus 45p a mile for shopping trips), £25.00 per hour for sitting/companionship. We also offer a free Telephone Befriending service where the same volunteer calls at the same day and time each week to help combat loneliness and isolation.
Next Chapter is a domestic abuse charity working across Colchester, Maldon, Chelmsford, Braintree, Uttlesford and Tendring to provide free and confidential services to support people who are currently experiencing or have previously. experienced, domestic abuse. We can help with practical support and advocacy; advice and guidance and we can also support you emotionally to talk through your experiences and help you move towards empowerment and a life free of abuse.
Reach Out for Mental Health offers a variety of support for those struggling with suicidal thoughts. We provide a safe, confidential and respectful space for you to talk to a trained volunteer befriender or trainee counsellor about anything which may be troubling you. NOTE: We are not a crisis service, so if you are feeling acutely suicidal and are concerned that you are unable to keep yourself safe, call 111 option 2 or 999.
COMPASS is a single point of access to support victims of domestic abuse across Southend, Essex and Thurrock. It helps women, men and young people aged over 16 to access specialist support including community-based services and specialist accommodation to help them recover and move on from domestic abuse.
