St. Elizabeth's - College

St. Elizabeth’s College is a safe learning space for young people aged 19-25. We offer specialist support that focuses on the individual needs of each learner. We provide exciting opportunities that enable our learners to develop their independence and skills as they progress into adulthood. Each learner has access to a bespoke timetable that ensures their EHCP needs are met, and suits their abilities and interests to motivate and engage them in learning.

The aim of the 3 year programme is to give learners the opportunity to develop work related learning skills; have autonomy over their lives and develop attitudes that build upon their confidence, self-esteem and sense of community.

Key Features include:

  • Learners have access to various social enterprise projects onsite which include The Drawing Room, Ashvale and our onsite shop Handy & Candy.
  • Each learner has the opportunity to access their wider community through weekly community visits.
  • Church Farm- Learners can attend this off site work related learning activity once every week and throughout the academic year.
  • Throughout a learners time at College, staff will try to find placements based on an individual's goals, interests and aspirations, and provide support throughout the placements.

We are a friendly, caring and experienced team supporting young people with epilepsy and other complex needs. All staff attend regular training to ensure they provide good quality education to all learners. Hertfordshire Connexions Service also visit to provide information, advice and guidance to our young people.
