HSSRC offer non-medical rehabilitation, and help and support to Stroke Survivors, and their family and carers.The charity has been operating in Harlow and surrounding areas for the past 20 years to support people to overcome the barriers faced following a stroke, such as feelings of isolation, loss of confidence and concerns about the future.We can provide one to one session to talk about your personal stroke and the physical and mental stresses that come with it.  We also run weekly rehab groups. 

Weekly Rehab Groups, Days and Times:

Chair Based Exercise Class – Wednesday 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Speech and Language Class – Thursdays 10am to 12pm

Chairbase exercise Class - Thursdays 1pm to 3pm

Social and Rehab for under 65’s –Friday 1pm to 3pm

Social and Rehab for all others – Fridays 10am to 12:30pm

Last Friday in every month Carers meeting – 10am to 12pm

Who can use this service?

Stroke Survivors and their family/Carers. At our rehab groups, we charge £1 towards refreshments. No membership fees.

How are services delivered?

We can in person services such as one-to-one sessions, group activities and support for families and carers. 

We have a mini bus operating Thursday and Friday Mornings, and Wednesday Afternoon in the Harlow area.
