Rainbow Services: Community Builder

Reducing loneliness and social isolation by providing social activities for retired and semi-retired people in Harlow. The Community Builder project supports older residents to create and maintain weekly social clubs, as well as organising day trips and special events. We also facilitate access to crucial health and wellbeing services and other beneficial community activities.

Social activities are delivered in partnership with District Councils and other partners in local communities in Harlow. These are weekly activities and one off events and trips. Each club meets for 2 hours a week where we get to meet new people, make new friends, sit and chat, play games and enjoy refreshments.  There is also an assisted exercise programme called Fitness, Fun, and Friends.  Find out more on the Rainbow Services website: click here for the Community Builder website.
